**What is a Negative Palmar Angle in Horses?**

The palmar angle refers to the angle between the bottom of the coffin bone and the ground. Ideally, it should be slightly positive. However, when the angle is negative, it can lead to serious hoof and leg issues.

A **negative palmar angle** can cause:

🚩 Hoof pain and discomfort
🚩 Strain on tendons and ligaments
🚩 Reduced performance or lameness

**Why does it happen?**
It may result from improper trimming or shoeing, or conditions like poor hoof conformation. Recognizing and correcting it early is crucial for the horse's health and performance.
