If you are needing more than just a dog and cat sitter ( but I can do that too ), such as help with farm animals, your kennel, fish tanks, sugar gliders, domesticated skunks, pot bellied pigs, birds, reptiles etc, I have experience and excellent references in my business. I founded Native Ways in 2014 in Ellijay GA, and soon found myself self employed FT, taking care of not only dogs and cats and doing in home stays and visits, but also entire farms while owners were out of town, or just needed regular assistance.
I offer everything from vet runs and grooming runs, to feed and seed runs and other supply runs. I can help coordinate and oversee all your vet and farrier needs, as well as work with your animals, horses, dogs, etc. I was the sole caretaker of a very large Akita Kennel in Mineral Bluff Georgia for almost two years, so I am definitely comfortable with large breed dogs and lots of them.
I was raised on a working farm and have extensive experience and knowledge in the care of animals ( especially horses and chickens ), including worming and shots, basic training and behavior improvement, minor injuries, medical and hoof care etc.
I am not a licensed vet, groomer, trainer or farrier. If it requires a license, I will find you a licensed service provider you can trust.
I simply am a natural born animal whisperer and have a gift with animals. I will never use any harsh, loud or physically abusive methods in anything I ever do.
If that is necessary you either have the wrong animal for your needs, or your animal has the wrong person. I am not looking for any kind of committed schedule with an employer. I am offering my services again, after several years of being back in the W-2 workforce, to supplement an income that is no longer sufficient in this economy. I am currently an administrative assistant and also handle the social media for that company. I have a 3 day work week with them.
A little background on myself:
NC Foothills Farm girl living in East TN in Seymour. I am 55 but I am healthy. I do not smoke, or drink or party. I live a quiet, simple, peaceful life around my need for nature, sunshine and wildlife. I am strong enough to handle man's work and hard work, but I also use good judgement on when I am pushing myself and I need to draw the line. I have worked construction and landscaping and I have seen the results of the broken down and handicapped bodies years later, so I got out out that industry 10 years ago.
I am stubbornly single and uninvolved. My life has never been simpler or more peaceful. There is no significant other complicating my life and schedule, and my four children are all independent. You won't be dealing with cancels and unreliability.
I am also open to a live-in, on-site caretaker arrangement, where I am more available, because I live there.
I will provide client references upon request. Since I am providing my customer's phone numbers for you to speak to them, I will have to talk to you personally on the phone before that information is provided.
My page has not had any client activity since 2022. There is years photos and videos from my customer's homes and farms prior to that however.
