Jenna is a 6 year old spayed female poodle who weighs 10 pounds. She was given up when her owner could no longer care take her. Jenna is a very sweet girl who is a joy at her foster home and loves to be held. She came to us with ear infections that have since been treated and we were told that she has a chicken allergy. Jenna has tested well with other dogs, walks on a leash, has not had any accidents at her foster home, does well in the crate and will make a wonderful family dog. Max is a 2-year-old hound with a big heart and an even bigger personality. Weighing in at around 70 pounds, he’s a strong, handsome boy who is ready to find a home that truly understands him. Max was previously adopted but returned because he became overwhelmed and annoyed by the young child in the home—so he’d do best in a household without small children where he can feel more at ease.

Despite that bump in his journey, Max is an incredibly sweet and affectionate dog who enjoys companionship and connection with his people. He’s dog-friendly and would likely enjoy having a canine buddy, though his compatibility with cats is still unknown.

Max is a strong walker and tends to pull on the leash, but with consistency and proper training, he has great potential to improve and become a wonderful walking partner. He’s a smart dog who just needs the right guidance and structure.

Max is looking for a patient, understanding home that will give him the space, training, and love he deserves. In return, he’ll offer loyalty, companionship, and plenty of tail wags.

Can't afford pet food or pet supplies? Our Pet Food Pantry will be open this Saturday May 9th from 9AM-11AM to support you. We are located at 125 County House Rd. in Blackwood, NJ.

Pet food and supplies are distributed to families in need on a first come, first served basis. Supplies may be limited.

If you can't make the time of our pantry, Animal Welfare Association will be having their next pantry on Saturday May 9th from 2-4PM at 509 Centennial Blvd. in Voorhees, NJ.

For the love of all that’s holy… PLEASE STOP DOING BALLOON RELEASES

🎈🚫

I know it’s usually done with love, a memorial, a celebration, a “message to heaven.”

But I need to tell you the truth, straight up…

Your loved one isn’t getting the balloons.

The wind doesn’t carry them to heaven.

It carries them to…

🐢 oceans

🦅 fields

🐄 pastures

🦌 forests

And then animals eat them.

They choke.

They starve with stomachs full of latex.

They get tangled and injured.

They die slow deaths because of something humans thought was “beautiful.”

And if you love the ocean…

🌊 STOP POLLUTING IT.

If you love wildlife…

🦊 STOP KILLING THEM.

If you love farm animals…

🐎 STOP TRASH FROM ENDING UP IN THEIR PASTURES.

Because that balloon always comes down somewhere.

And it becomes trash with a body count.

And while we’re here…

🕊️ Dove releases are NOT better.

Those birds often don’t survive. It’s stressful, dangerous, and highly unethical.

Want a meaningful alternative that doesn’t kill something?

✅ Plant a tree or flowers

✅ Blow bubbles

✅ Light a candle

✅ Donate to an animal rescue or cause they loved

✅ Write notes and keep them in a memory jar

✅ Do a community act of kindness in their name

Real love doesn’t litter.

Real memorials shouldn’t end in suffering.
