So, I had a lady bring me two squirrels she found ran over on the road and asked me if I could mount them. So I got em all finished, and she came to pick them up. She told me she didn't like them and asked me if I could just have them shaking hands. Hard to please some customers🄓

Finally took time and mounted my speckled trout I caught on the Carolina Coast several years ago. Graduated from real fish mounts and carved my first rainbow trout from a piece of basswood, courtesy of the WOOD WHITTLERS in Gatlinburg.

Getting a few calls wanting bears mounted. I have sort of retired from doing a lot of big jobs after 40 years in the art of Taxidermy. To everyone out there spending the money getting a bear or any other trophy mounted it's imperative to make sure it is properly skinned and taken care of. Although expensive, bears are beginning to become a favorite mount. I am sharing a diagram on how to make the cuts for a bear rug to make it symmetrical in completing the skin into a rug. Bad cuts on a mount can be repaired, but after the skin is cut for a rug, it's hard to repair. The least amount of cutting is better on any trophy. Contact me if you need some help, but I will have to bow out for now in mounting large trophies sticking to doing a few deer mounts. Hunting season is in the air.

Interesting article on the black bears. A lot is unknown about the black bears except they are born as wild bears, that will become habituated by humans just like all the other wildlife. My book "BEAR ATTACK in the SMOKIES", includes the true and horrific events that have never been disclosed, and led to a black bear attack that killed a local school teacher. Book is in its finality and should be available by May 21st 2020 that is the 20 year anniversary of the bear attack. When you read the book, you may never enter into a National Park again.

Of all the carnivores and ungulates in Yellowstone National Park, black bears are the last to be researched by park staff and biologists. The Yellowstone Black Bear Project, funded in part by Yellowstone Forever, is using field work, DNA analysis, and GPS tracking camera collars to determine black bear densities in the northern range, as well as how they travel, feed, and interact across the region.

As lead biologist Kerry Gunther puts it, ā€œThe black bear is the last big carnivore that we don’t have a lot of data on. It’s the last piece of the puzzle.ā€

Proprietor of the Beef Jerky Outlet on the Island in Pigeon Forge traveled down to the backwoods and swamps of Louisiana to buy some alligator and nutria jerky from a well known c**n ass. He was cornered by this swamp bo**er and he bagged it when it attacked him. HuntnFish mounted the trophy and is now on display at the Beef Jerky Outlet for viewing. Dont be skeered!
