✨ NEW SERVICE OPTION: FLEX BOARDING ✨

I’m excited to officially offer a new option for LOCAL clients around the Seven Hills area (generally within 15–20 minutes of me): Flex Boarding!

This service is designed for dogs who may benefit from a mix of in-home care and social/daycare-style interaction without needing to fully board away from home.

So… what is it exactly? 👀

Flex Boarding combines drop-in visits with transportation to my home for part of the day. Depending on your dog’s needs, they may come spend a few hours with me and the other dogs here for:
🐾 supervised playtime
🐾 social interaction
🐾 extra one-on-one attention
🐾 a more active “daycare” atmosphere
🐾 companionship throughout part of the day

…then return home afterward to relax and sleep in their own familiar environment.

This can be a GREAT option for dogs who:
• are more comfortable eating or sleeping at home
• have mild separation anxiety
• do better maintaining their normal routine or seniors with cognitive dysfunction that are more confused outside the house
• enjoy other dogs and would like playtime/socialization
• even some dogs that are not good with others, as (situationally dependent) may be able to come and hang out without interactions - play in the yard - and go back home
• need more interaction than standard drop-ins provide
• have owners who prefer not to have someone staying overnight in their home

I’ve found that some owners love the idea of drop-in visits, but still worry about their dog being alone most of the day… while others don’t necessarily want overnight house sitting or traditional boarding. Flex Boarding helps bridge that gap in a more personalized way. 💛

As always, this service will depend on your dog’s personality, comfort level, compatibility with other pets, scheduling, and location.

If you think your dog may be a good fit, feel free to message me and we can talk more about whether Flex Boarding would work for you! 🐶

Went to see Tilly today!

Tilly boards with me somewhat often but occasionally her parents have plans where they’d like a drop in visit. So, of course I oblige!

While they were at a wedding today, I stopped over and took little Miss on a 25 minute walk and fed her dinner and snackies.

I’m glad she was, as usual, excited to see me!

If anyone is looking for pet sitting in the Northern Ohio area, I’d really appreciate referrals, shares, or even just keeping me in mind. 🐾

When I lived in Georgia, I built a very successful pet sitting business that I absolutely loved. After moving back to Ohio, I’ve basically had to start all over from scratch, and rebuilding has honestly been a lot harder than I expected.

Pet sitting isn’t just a side hobby for me. Along with working full time as a veterinary technician, it’s a huge part of my income and something I genuinely care deeply about. I put a lot of effort into making sure pets are safe, comfortable, and truly treated like part of the household while they’re here.

My home is generally a better fit for:
• Small dogs
• Adult dogs (2+)
• Senior dogs
• Dogs that enjoy companionship but also have an “off switch” and don’t need constant nonstop activity

That said, I do watch some larger dogs too! Personality and compatibility matter much more to me than size alone.

Because this is an in-home boarding environment with my own pets, dogs must:
• Be safe around cats (playful curiosity is okay, extreme chasing/prey drive is not)
• Be friendly and appropriate with dogs of all sizes
• Be able to settle reasonably well in a home environment

I specialize in a calmer, more personalized style of care, especially for dogs who may not thrive in loud, high-volume boarding facilities. I also have experience with senior pets, medications, behavioral quirks, and medical needs through my veterinary background.

I do offer local drop-in visits as well, depending on distance, scheduling, number of visits needed, and timing constraints.

Thank you to everyone who has supported me, trusted me with their pets, recommended me, or even just interacted with my posts. It means more than you probably realize. ❤️

Tiny chaos. Full hearts. Fur everywhere. 🌷🐾

Over the past 5 days, we’ve had SEVEN extra dogs here for pet sitting, and somehow the house has transformed into a Mother’s Day brunch hosted entirely by toddlers in fur coats. 😂 Between the zoomies, naps, snack negotiations, and everyone wanting attention at the exact same time… it’s been busy, loud, and pretty adorable with a little touch of stress (for me, not for them!).

We’re so thankful for all of the pet parents who trust us with their babies while they’re away. Whether they’re anxious, energetic, senior, goofy, or clingy enough to become my shadow within 12 minutes… we love getting to know every personality that comes through our doors. 🤍

Happy Mother’s Day to all the dog moms, cat moms, and pet parents out there. Your kids may have four legs and questionable listening skills, but they love you fiercely. 🌼🐶🐾

New dogs here today and they’ve definitely kept things interesting 😂🐾

Originally, their owner reached out about boarding just one dog, Beau the Yorkie, because her husband planned to stay home with their other dog, Emma the Chihuahua.

After meeting Beau for the first time… I slightly understood the hesitation 😂 He has a very big personality, a lot of energy, and some quirky behaviors that can make new situations feel overwhelming for him.

After our meet and greet, their family decided to trust me with both dogs while they travel, which I know wasn’t an easy decision because they’ve never left them before or taken trips without them. Drop-off yesterday morning was emotional for everyone involved.

Emma settled in relatively quickly and has been an absolute sweetheart. Beau has needed a little more time and guidance while adjusting to the other dogs, but the best part? He responds really well to structure and redirection. Once he realized he didn’t need to be “on” all the time, he started relaxing. He will still take some time, but he’s “on the mend”.

A few hours after drop off and everyone was settled:
Beau was passed out on the porch ☀️
Emma was peacefully soaking in the fresh air like she’s on a tiny wellness retreat.

Honestly, this is why I love what I do. Sometimes dogs just need patience, confidence, and a little help realizing that new things aren’t always scary. And sometimes owners need reassurance that their pups are more capable than they think. ❤️

Yesterday was a big step for this family, and I’m really proud of all of them.

Little “job interview” update from Violet the coonhound 🐾

Violet previously stayed with me for an overnight trial, but since I never actually left the house during that visit, I wanted to do one more quick test run before booking longer stays. Her mom mentioned she has some separation anxiety, and I always like to be proactive with situations like that.

Dogs with separation anxiety in an in-home boarding setting can sometimes be tricky. It can look like destructive behavior, excessive stress (which can also lead to things like GI upset and pancreatitis), barking all night, or simply a dog feeling overwhelmed in a new environment. And honestly? If they’re stressed, I’m stressed, and that’s not fair to anyone.

So we did a short visit where I left the house to run a couple errands and tested a few scenarios:

• hanging out loose in the living room
• spending a little time in a crate (not because I plan to crate her regularly, but because it’s important to know how a dog handles it if there’s ever an emergency or unexpected situation)

Miss Violet understood the assignment and absolutely nailed both. She stayed calm, just whined a little, settled well, and gave me a lot of confidence that she’ll be comfortable here for future visits.

These little trial runs may seem extra, but they help set dogs up for success and make sure everyone feels safe and comfortable before longer stays. Sometimes pet sitting feels a little like doggy matchmaking mixed with quality assurance testing… with more treats and fur.

We always recommend doing trial runs like these, if possible. And if you feel your dog may be anxious - it never hurts to ask your vet about anxiety medications during their stay.

GO VIOLET! 🫶🏻
