Sonny's Spaw and Self Wash

Sonny's Spaw and Self Wash We take a full dog and cat approach. While quality grooms are important to us, quality care is our t I love what I do.

I believe that every dog or cat that comes through my doors should be treated with the same love and attention as I give my own pet. I have been fortunate to train under some of the best groomers in the state and have special training in specific breed standards. I also specialize in anxious and difficult dogs. I have created the type of environment for the dogs that I would feel comfortable leavi

ng my own dog to be groomed. I do this job because I love it and your four legged babies will be given all the love and affection while with me that they would be given in your homes. I am excited to make new friends with your pets and you!!

Please help me in congratulating Michele, Jessica and Shayna. I cannot take credit for this one. The last year has come with many challenges. My move, losing two groomers, surgeries and so much more. My staff have risen to the occasion on every challenge. It hasn’t always been easy for them or for me. We’ve made some mistakes, owned up to them and did better next time. This is year 7 we’ve had this recognition. Out of 9 years in business. My girls are the ones who have done the hard parts. They’ve adjusted to my absence and taken challenges head on. I am beyond proud and grateful for them. Sonny’s doesn’t look the same, but we are still committed to the emotional well being of the pets in this community above all else.

Congratulations girls. I hope you are all enjoying your weekend off.

We are number one in the hearts of the dogs and that’s what really matters.

Special Hours Announcement!

WSDOT has announced nightly Hood Canal Bridge closures from 8pm-5:30am 9/21-9/25.

We want to make sure pet owners have access to care when you need it most. We will be open nightly during these bridge closures from 8pm-5am. We will be operating with a small team and Dr. Mason (and Veterinary Assistant Nick) will be working for 7 nights in a row - which is why we will also be CLOSED Friday 9/26 to allow for a short rest before we reopen as normally scheduled on Saturday 9/27.

Please share with family/friends so that they are aware of this closure and that we are available!

💜 Foster Needed for Baby Lottie 💜

This is little Lottie. She’s only 9 weeks old and a tiny 2.2 lbs. Right now, she’s your typical playful, wiggly puppy, but she may have a condition called hydrocephalus (we don’t know for sure yet and she’s got more vet visits ahead, but thats what the vet suspects so far). It means there may be a build up of fluid in her brain.

What we do know is that she deserves to live her best puppy life while we figure it all out. That’s where we need your help.

We’re looking for a foster who can:
🐾 Give her a safe home without big dogs (she’s so tiny they could easily squish her).
🐾 Help her continue with her housebreaking and puppy basics.
🐾 Shower her with love, attention and FUN.

We don’t know exactly what her future holds, but right now she’s just a sweet, happy pup who needs a safe place to land.

📧 If you think you can open your home to Lottie, please email us at [email protected].

Let’s find this little girl a soft place to land while we figure things out. 💕

I wanted to take a minute to thank all of you who have been concerned for Jessica's well being, and understanding of the unfortunate circumstances. Many of you have extended your well wishes for her and shown patience. Thank you.

I also want to give a huge shout out to Michele and Shayna for the extra work they've taken on and the love they have given the dogs in their care. They have as they do, rolled with the circumstances.

For the few, and unfortunately there have been more than one or two, that have been rude and caused the rest of my staff to deal with even more unnecessary stress. I am honestly at a loss. Michele and Shayna are extremely short handed and still trying to keep their own clients happy. I could not have been more clear to what the situation was and that there was nothing we can do about it. While I understand the importance of keeping your fur kids on schedule, there is never an excuse to be mean to the girls. Ever.

I have instructed Michele to send all of those customers my way, she does not deserve to have to fear these conversations. If you have an issue with the current situation, you reach out to me directly. Michele will give you my work number here.

My employees work very hard to make sure the dogs are taken care of as their own, that alone deserves kindness and patience. It has been a while since I have had to remind people that I do not allow any client to be rude to my staff, I hope that in the future I don't have to.

There seems to be confusion on the email sent out about an employees medical leave.

She is not ready to come back, her hand is not healed enough to perform her duties.

The other two groomers are taking what they can, but their schedules are full as well. There is no way for me to come up and help as my schedule if full here.

We will call you when we can reschedule you....

Thank you to all who have been kind and understanding. We greatly appreciate your concern for her.

While we understand your eagerness to get your dogs groomed, nothing is more important, in this situation, than my employees being whole at work. We work with our hands, longevity in this industry requires taking care of those hands. So please be patient with us.

If you did not receive and email this does not pertain to you.

I hope this clears up any confusion.

Coming to Barks and Blooms? Here's an important reminder.

Your dog is adorable. Like, show-stealing, heart-melting, everyone-falls-in-love adorable. 😍 And we're dying to meet them.

But for the event today, we’re asking you to let your pup stay home and relax. Why? Because our rescue dogs are trying to work their magic and find forever homes—and let’s be honest, your dog’s cuteness is tough competition. 🐕✨

We’d love to meet your pup another time, but this one’s all about giving our adoptable dogs their time to shine. Thanks for helping them be the center of attention! 💐

Can't wait to see you all this afternoon!
