Let's have a little contest, and go over some FAQs while we are finalizing our rulebook! Once the rulebook is published we will provide an online link to it.
DYRA will have 4 age divisions; Leadline, peewee 0-6, junior 7-12, and senior 13-18. Age cut off will be January 1 of the year.
Our events will be Barrels, Poles, Arena race, and goat tying!
All running events will be a 3D full second split!
Memberships will be filled out onsite at the first race you choose to come to and can be paid in cash or venmo! $25 for first child, $20 for second, and $15 for so on.
We will be using SADDLEBOOK for all entries!
entry fees will be $20 per horse and $5 for lead line
75% payout from the class and 25% goes back to year end awards! Leadline $$ will all go towards each leadline member winning year end awards as well, no payout but they will win ribbons in classes!
**** ALL money goes back to the kids every year! We do not pay our crew members, for the arena, for the tractor, for the services we provide to put on these shows! It all goes back to the members!

We have had such an influx of response already about DYRA and many are asking for the basic answers to what DYRA is and will be! So I figured we should go ahead and put out the cliff notes!
DYRA will have 4 events; barrels, poles, arena race and a fan favorite, goat tying!! When we first started Dixie Youth, we had a close group of kids that were either running saddle club or NBHA or jr rodeos. So we wanted to create an association that kept all of our kids competitive in the running sports, and have an extra place to keep their goat tying skills sharp before the jr and high school rodeos! And 💥 comes DYRA. It went on for many years until most of the original members and board were ready to move on and phase out of youth events. Well, give us about 15-20 years and those same original members have an entirely new group of youth to bring in! Gene King, Michelle StClair and Pat Patterson’s original pact was, “all are in together, and if not, all are out together”. Well, the next generation of the same board members are back! Along side the OGs to grow and have the best youth association we can for the kids in our area! We had the most fun and memories to last a lifetime when it first started, and we hope to create those same memories for your kids and families as well!
We will have a leadline, and 3 age classes. Peewee 0-6, Junior 6-12, and senior class 13-18. All running events will be 3D format, one second splits, and points awarded in every division for the season! We strive to offer the BEST AWARDS for our year end members. Memberships are $25 per first child, and discount after first child.

While we are all working behind the scenes dotting all the I's and crossing the T's, we wanted you to get this year's schedule BACK on your calendar!
