Tight TMJ, tight semi membranous, tight gluteals, tight in the trapezius & deltoid. Tight, tight, tight!! Miss Vegas had an opinion about most any of it being touched, she’d rather guard it all. Most mares will tell you exactly where the
issues are 🤣🫠

I wasn’t surprised she was miserable for the farrier after finding all of this!! Imagine you have a tight muscle/group of muscles in your hips and someone wants you to pick up and stretch back your leg for an extended period of time. Plus you weigh 1,000+ pounds…. You probably wouldn’t be very nice either!! She’s fine for cleaning her feet out but rough on the farrier. It all checks out!!

I worked with her on stretches for all 4 legs and walked her owner through how to do them properly in between her body work sessions ❤️

I worked on a funny looking horse today 🤣🥰

I’m always willing to try something and this turned out to be fun! She melted as soon as I found the sore spot in her shoulder. It was a pretty cool experience and I had her walking with more range of motion at the end 🙌🏻

Let’s take a moment for this beautiful girl I had the pleasure of working on yesterday 😍
Another moment for my photographer daughter getting all the good sky shots 😘

Vegas is jammed up and likely has a hip out but I worked to get her softer and looser for a chiro to do their magic.
I did what I could to get her tension out without being at the receiving end of her warning kicks lol
She’s a younger horse who’s increasing her workload and with that it is producing sore muscles. As she gets more fit and learns to carry herself more correct it should even out! Plus her owners are working on finding a saddle that fits her better. ❤️

This is the move I do on horses that absolutely stresses their owners out 🤣 but the horses who let it happen fall in love with me over it! Yes, I’m the crazy lady who wiggles her fingers right into and under your horses upper lip (even when I don’t know the horse) and let them press on my hand with as much pressure as they’d like… but why??

The simple answer… there is an acupressure point (GV-26) located there and it also allows them to release their jaw, tongue and so on. There are tons of benefits to it!!

My mare in the second picture all but puts my hand in her mouth to press it for her 🤣 Your horse will thank you too! Ace here hates absolutely anything in his mouth, especially fingers, but look at him 🥰
