Horses For Handicapped Foundation of Pinellas County Equestrian riding, bonding, socialization, and mainstreaming for the handicapped and autistic within the Pinellas County Community

As riding director Mary Urquhart states, we are "Happy for Horses" and we utilize our equine partners to help the special needs citizens in our community as well as develop empathy and leadership skills in our youth through the volunteer aspect of the program. We create:
~ Self awareness
~ Self confidence
~ Self discipline
This program is 100% volunteer run and 100% dependent on donations from the

community. Our community includes:

• Community Sponsored by Community Civic Clubs, including the Kiwanis Club of Seminole
• Our Volunteers
• The Seminole Riders Girl Scouts of America/4-H Club
• Area High School National Honor Societies
• CAS Programs
• Professionals

Today we hosted all of our riders for an end of the year horse show and they did a great job. Thank you, volunteers, parents, and riders for making this a great one!! Enjoy the pics! Thank you to the Kiwanis Club of Seminole and the Builder’s Club for sponsoring our picnic - it was delicious!

Hey y’all, the barn is reopened. Insulation looks great and we really need volunteers Friday night Saturday night and Sunday mornings particularly right now.

Greetings.
Today is March 19th and starting today our barn will be undergoing some minor construction. Thanks to the financial support from the Seminole Lake Rotary Club, we will be installing insulation so that we can help reduce the heat within the barn during summer! Hip hip hooray!

Due to the protocols for this installation, unless you have been explicitly requested to come to the barn by Jenn or Leah… The barn will be closed to visitors and volunteers until Monday the 24th.
