*FIRE UPDATE* All the foxes are back home! After the adrenaline wore off Madi, one of the tour guides that was responsible for saving the animals from the smoke and fighting the fire before the fire department got here, had actually broke her foot in two places. She insisted on still wanting to help out with the animals, but we can’t let her do any of the heavy work obviously. Meanness, the little silver fox in the photo, Had the worst of the smoke damage that we could tell. On the day of the fire, she actually could not stand up and was laying in her own p*e. After a weekend on oxygen and vet care she was able to come back home. Her and one other are still being monitored, but things are looking great. We all need to give Madi, Bethany, and the Strother fire department a big hand for all the help and quick thinking that prevented this from being so much worse. The Seminole Vet Hospital’s quick response was also amazing. Working on off hours, sending staff out to check lungs, and keeping us constantly updated was a blessing. Also, all the members of the community that came out to help us relocate all the foxes, you all are truly lifesavers

The fire affected the back part of the property. We had to let multiple animals out, but we have them resecured.

UPDATE. ITS UNDER CONTROL** fire out*** no more help needed***Anyone who can help please come to Nomads animal encounter right now our neighbors lit the place on fire. We are having to let animals out so they don’t burn please anyone who can help help. *update* it was not intentionally done. It was just a bonfire that was left unattended. So the responsibility is still on them. It’s the second time they have done this. this time It was just much worse.
