Dr. Livia Frazar is an experienced equine veterinarian with a special interest in performance horse medicine, chiropractic care, and acupuncture. She has practiced equine medicine and surgery for over a decade, working extensively with Thoroughbred racehorses and sport horses across the country.
Dr. Frazar earned her Bachelor of Science degree from Texas A&M University and her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Mississippi State University. She began her career at Louisiana Downs, later practicing at prominent racetracks including Churchill Downs, Keeneland, Fair Grounds and Oaklawn Park. Her background has given her broad experience in lameness evaluation, preventative care, and the management of equine athletes at all stages of training and competition.
With advanced training in equine chiropractic and acupuncture, Dr. Frazar takes a comprehensive, integrative approach to patient care, focusing on optimizing performance, comfort, and long-term soundness. She is passionate about developing individualized treatment plans and working closely with owners and trainers to support each horse’s overall well-being.
