Fourth of July is almost here!
We love celebrating Independence Day, but fireworks and busy holiday gatherings can be stressful—and even dangerous—for our furry family members.
Did you know? The week of the Fourth of July is one of the busiest times of the year for lost pets. A little preparation now can make all the difference!
Here are a few simple ways to keep your pets safe:
Make sure your pet is wearing a collar with current identification.
Even if your pet “never goes outside,” be extra cautious. Doors are often left open with guests coming and going.
Fireworks can be frightening. If your pet struggles with loud noises, ask us about calming medication designed to help reduce noise anxiety. Give our clinic a call before the holiday!
Double-check fences, gates, kennels, and crates to ensure they’re secure.
Charge and attach GPS trackers or AirTags if your pet wears one.
No ID tag? In a pinch, write your name and phone number on a piece of paper, seal it inside a small zip-top bag, and securely tape it to your pet’s collar.
