The next colors in our Pom color series is the blue sable and chocolate sable.

In the pictures on this post, this is normally what my blue sables have looked like. A cream or orange dog with a blue nose and blue tips on the coat hair. The chocolate sable here is not a true chocolate sable. A chocolate sable is a cream or orange dog with brown noses and brown tips on their coat hair.

The next color in our Pomeranian series is the chocolate and chocolate and tan. I have had exactly one chocolate puppy in my breeding time. They are just as cute as can be.

Continuing in our Pomeranian color series, we are going to start getting into the lesser seen colors. Today we are going to focus on the blue and blue and tan coloring.

I actually get a lot of blue and blue and tan Pomeranians. They are very different and absolutely beautiful!!!

The next color in our Pomeranian color series is the cream and cream sable. I absolutely love this color. It is my favorite color, and interestingly enough, the one color I hardly get. In fact, I have only ever had one true cream puppy.

The next color is red and red sable. Orange and reds are the same thing genetically, but the red has a more intense dark gene make it red rather than orange.

I have never produced a true red or red sable in my breeding program. Most are orange sable or cream sable.

Still incredibly beautiful, and Pomeranian through and through.

This is probably the most common color in Pomeranians, and I think it is the color most people associate with the Pom.

Hello everyone,

I have two announcements I want to make. One regarding puppy leave times and another regarding puppy food.

First, on all puppies born after August 26, 2026, leave times will change. Cocker Spaniels will go to their homes at 10 weeks of age or later. Pomeranians will not leave until 12 weeks and some may stay until 16 weeks. Cocker Spaniels are much easier to wean over to kibble, so they don’t need as long. Pomeranians, as I am learning, are a completely different ballgame. I have learned the longer they are with me, the better they will be for you. I don’t like to force weaning, and I like to let the mothers make that decision. There will be no exceptions.

In regard to puppy food, I have switched everyone to NutriSource Small and Medium puppy food. I did not do this because of price, I did this because of nutrition. When I was feeding the Science Diet, I noticed my puppies having a slower time growing or I might have two puppies grow like weeds and the other fall behind. I noticed the puppies were not as lively as I like to see, and I noticed the puppies did not seem to want to wean over to it very easily. Because of these things, I decided to go another way. If you are using the Science Diet and things are going well, please continue to feed it.
