It is with the heaviest of hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved clinic cat, Artemis. He touched so many lives over the years, our little AMC community will miss him terribly.

*Artemis first came to AMC 18 years ago. He was found as a wee kitten in the back fenced area behind our clinic. It's unknown if his mother or owner left him there, alone. Dr Rowan raised him and gave him a home at the clinic with his new best friend, Sam. Over the years, Arti has seen employees and clients come and go and each time has left a little pawprint in all our hearts. His favorite pastimes were lounging on the front counter, sleeping in cupboards, drinking out of the toilet, licking peoples' foreheads and stealing food from patients, alot of times in that order. He was there if you needed kitty cuddles, emotional support, or comic relief. Although he didn't care for small children or kittens, they loved him anyways. He was the first patient of ours to try Solencia for arthritis and it gave him so much life towards the end, giving him the ability to climb shelves he hadn't climbed in years. He greeted staff and clients with the same demanding crunchy meows for treats or cuddles and wanting to be packed around like a toddler.
He was a kind, loving, sweet old man and we will miss him so much. He was the best clinic cat we could ever have asked for.

We love you, Arti ❤️

It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of one of our beloved clinic cats, Blue. He fought severe kidney disease for a long time until he couldn't anymore. He will be sorely missed 💙

*Blue's story: we first met Blue back in 2012 when his original owner brought his to is for vaccines and to be neutered at around 6 mo old. By the following year he proved how much he loved food and hated exercise. As much as his owner tried to manage it, his heaviest he was 32 lbs. By 2022, he developed diabetes and was needing insulin and regular glucose checks. His loving owner made the devastating choice to humanely euthanize his as they were going to assisted living across country and had no one to help him with his medical needs. We decided to keep him here with us to manage his weight and diabetes then send him to a rescue. He quickly became part of the AMC family where he lost the weight with a strict diet and exercise and was no longer diabetic. But a life with these commodities cost him functioning kidneys. Even with daily care and medications, he told us it was time. We love and miss him everyday💙*

☆Clyde is the only one left! He's a fiesty little guy who would love a new playmate, either another young cat or a cat-friendly dog. He's super sweet but loves to explore and play more, he is a ball of energy and personality.☆

These adorable little ghosties are available for adoption, they were born March 28th here at the clinic. They're mother has been taking the best care of them but now it's time for her to go back with her owner. They have had their first vaccine and dewormer, they will need additional vaccines and be spayed or neutered at 4+ months

There is an adoption fee of $99 per male kitten to cover the cost of their vaccinations and spayed or neuter. Give us a call at 509-697-3993 or email at [email protected] to schedule a time to meet or if you have any other questions.
