The term “crazy” has fallen out of favor, in some circles, as a way to describe almost anything. But in Mineral Wells, a small town an hour west of Fort Worth, “the Crazy” is a loving nickname for the Crazy Water Hotel, a property built atop calcium-, magnesium-, potassium-, and lithium-rich waters that has stood through four wars, two economic depressions, and constantly changing American travel habits. Along the way, it’s sustained the thousands of guests who come to soak in the town’s “miracle water.”
