We moved 3 weeks ago!! 🎉🥳

The original “plans” were in motion for several months, then we had health issues, work and personal life events, etc… 💀!! Eventually everything worked out and here we are! ☺️
Finally settling in, still some boxes and little things everywhere but we’re ~90% there.
It’s nice having a bigger space to walk around in circles - literally playing hide-and-seek 😂, no more carpets, better lighting, less of the afternoon heat 🥵, more memories to be made, and camping trips to plan!!

Happy sunshine girl ☀️ .
Some things that we’ve noticed since her medication aside from the increased energy levels.
- Her eyes are super focused like she’s looking at you before it was looking but kinda glazed/dazed eyes
- She no longer has crazy long bleps now they’re just tiny if any.
- she’s sleeping more on her back and prefers hard surfaces, before it was on soft things like the dogbed or couch
- her yeast infection cleared up and it’s squeaky clean b4 that area was always dark and oozing and despite her prescribed topical solutions, it persisted
- her body doesn’t have a heavy odor, it’s been 3weeks post bath and she still smells clean
- her fur doesn’t mat as easily as before, prev it would mat after a week post bath
- her fur is growing back and it’s coming in pretty thick and healthy
- her tail fur is also growing in thick, b4 it was stringy and you could see her named tail
- her coat is still a bit rough but softer than before

TLDR; Bella is healthy again.
We haven’t been very active on IG 😖
It’s been a wild couple of months with Kofu and Bella and multiple issues with their health, mostly Bella.
Kofu had a weird thing where he was screaming when he moved and was overall restless and wouldn’t lay down. Took X-rays and nothing showed up. Muscle relaxant, painkillers and rest and he’s back to 100% himself. We figured he played too hard one day and pulled a muscle really bad.
As you know, Bella was overweight and we changed her diet and got her down to 80lbs from 116 but her energy was still low and she was having issues here and there like chronic UTI, yeast infection that didn’t go away after antibiotics, lethargic for everything except eating, a growing mass on her head, constant diarrhea despite nothing in her diet changing.
We ran multiple tests, X-rays, etc on her issues.
Had the mass removed and it was benign.
The tests came back with a lot of things too high (creatine, potassium) and low (urine, glucose, thyroid), so ordered more tests to rule out Addisons and Thyroid FT4. If those 2 tests came back positive, then she would be on meds for the rest of her life.
Her X-rays also showed her small intestines with lots of inflammation and gas and the vet said it could either be food related, IBD, or lymphoma with a year to live. So our vet suggested we switch her diet once more and monitor. If her diarrhea continued, we would schedule an ultrasound to determine if it was IBD, and go from there.
We switched out both of their diets back to 100% raw (we were substituting with half kibble and half raw), even though Kofu didn’t have any issues eating Origen Fit and Trim, we saw benefits of feeding raw when they were puppies, but as they got older and bigger unfortunately our pockets stayed the same and we couldn’t afford it.
