He's baaaack!! ❤️

Ripley has recovered from his knee surgery that you all so generously sponsored, and he is officially up for adoption! While he is still hanging out in a foster home, he’ll be on site at the shelter Saturday, which would be an amazing time to meet him!!

Ripley is about 2 years old and enjoys other dogs, plays with his toys, and is crate trained. He may be shy with strangers, but once he sees that he can trust, then he gives kisses freely. He loves being in a pack and learns quickly from other dogs. His favorite game is squeaking toys by booping them with his nose.

Ripley likes getting his teeth brushed too! Since he did just recover from knee surgery, he's not much of a hiker at this point, but with care, that could be a fun thing for him to do. He likes pack walks for sure. Did we mention his adorable underbite? It's the cutest thing ever. Almost as cute as how often he begs for belly rubs!!

It's KITTEN SEASON! Aren't these stinkers cute?!

We are bursting at the seams with kittens and just wanted to share how darling they are! We know you won't be able to refuse when you see these cuties in action 😂

One of these babies was already adopted, but Pip & Finnegan are still here, romping around and making friends with all the other kittens! We love to watch them run and play together. Kittens do best when they have other cats to socialize with, and trust us, it's easier on YOU when you take home TWO!

Nova spent a few months with us before she found a wonderful family.

Her adopters sent us an update and these lovely photos! They say Nova is doing amazing and settling in very well. She gets lots of love from her big family. Nova is a perfect fit. She has already had some fun adventures. Playing at the park, meeting new dog friends and jumping into the creek. It is so sweet seeing her excitement at being in the water, along with cozy time at home.

Our first session of Kids & Kritters Camp is underway!

We still have openings in our second and third sessions, but not that many! If you haven't signed your kiddos up yet now is the time!

Camp sessions run Monday through Friday, 10am-2pm and include animal care, behavior learning activities, carefully monitored hands-on interactions with animals, craft activities, guest speakers and much more, and all campers receive a HSS “Kids & Kritters” t-shirt!

We have another gorgeous country girl to introduce you to! Everyone, meet LAINEY! 🌟

Lainey is a lovely 6-month-old puppy who is ready to start her life in a loving home! Lainey is Great Pyrenees/Hound Dog mix, and she is such a good girl! She's as happy as they come and loves to be around people.

This beauty was raised around older children and other animals. She is a very affectionate pup and is working on her leash skills with us here. She is pretty much a ready to go family dog, just waiting for her next adventure! ❤

We are proud to have nearly 80 Canister Donation business partners within our community, and a team of dedicated volunteers who help manage the program. Last year, this program brought in almost $10,000 to help our animals here at the shelter. So, trust us when we say your spare change has a BIG impact!

Jupiter is a sweet dog who would love to find a family! ❤

This 6-year-old cutie pie was surrendered to us back in December. She was adopted for a brief time, but it wasn't a good fit, so she's back to bunking with us! We love having Jupiter here - she is such a wonderful dog! She's been decompressing at one of our volunteer's houses for a few days and has really been enjoying the time away from the shelter!

Jupiter loves to go for long walks and would probably enjoy hiking! She isn't a water dog though; this queen prefers to stay dry 😂 Jupiter is struggling a little in the shelter. Loud noises upset her, and she would prefer a quiet home. She has shown some reactivity to other dogs here at the shelter and may prefer to be the only dog in her new home.

She is fixed, microchipped, up to date on her vaccines, and her adoption fee has been sponsored! If you're interested in meeting Jupiter, give us a call and set up an appointment to meet her ☎ 928-282-4679
