🚨 ADOPTABLE DOGS EVERYWHERE THIS SATURDAY! 🚨

If you've been thinking about adding a four-legged family member, this is your weekend. 🐾

We'll have dozens of adoptable dogs looking for homes at our adoption event:

Then we'll be heading to Strays of Summer from 2:00–4:00 PM with a smaller group of adoptable dogs:

Hosted by Alice 105.9 and featuring Tito's Vodka, KONG, Fetch Photo Truck, Molly Dharma Motorcycle Run, local vendors, rescue organizations, and more!

🐶 Please note: The dogs will be split between both events, and we're still finalizing who will attend each location. Each dog's caption will indicate where they're expected to be, but if you have your eye on someone specific, we recommend reaching out to confirm before heading out.

Applications are required to meet and adopt our animals and can be submitted in advance at 4p4l.org.

We don't know a whole lot about Joey and Moe yet, because both of these fellas are still looking for foster homes (or forever homes if you like that idea better 🥰)

These boys are 4-month-old terrier mixes of some kind who would love a place to crash until they are adopted. Can you help?

🚨 HOW IS BLADE STILL AVAILABLE?! 🚨

Seriously. He’s the last puppy from his litter still looking for a home, and we cannot figure out why.

Maybe it’s because everyone is too distracted by those ears. 👀

At just 4 months old, Blade is equal parts explorer and cuddle bug. He loves chasing toys, sniffing out adventures in the yard, and learning new things (especially when treats are involved). When the fun is over, he's more than happy to curl up beside you for belly rubs and a nap.

Blade is doing great with crate training, making excellent progress with potty training, knows how to sit, and gets along wonderfully with kids, adults, and other dogs. He's the kind of puppy who fits into just about any adventure — whether that's hiking a trail or claiming half your couch as his own.

Blade and his siblings were surrendered to a high-kill Texas shelter and immediately placed on the euthanasia list due to some hair loss. Thankfully, they made it out, got the care they needed, and one by one, his siblings have all found families.

Now it's Blade's turn.

We don't understand why Tartlet has been continuously overlooked 😭 Can you help us find her forever family? 💗

Tartlet is the kind of puppy who fits seamlessly into just about any day — playful and silly when it’s time for fun, then calm and cuddly when everyone is ready to relax. She has a sweet, easygoing personality and truly just wants to be included in whatever her people are doing.

She absolutely loves other dogs and people and is always excited to make new friends. Whether she’s playing with toys, chewing on one of her favorite chew bones, or curling up beside you on the couch, Tartlet is happiest being part of the family.

She’s already off to a fantastic start with her training. Tartlet is crate trained, sleeps through the night like a champ, and is doing very well with potty training. She also walks beautifully on leash, making outings with her fun and easy.

With her loving personality, playful spirit, and impressive manners for such a young pup, Tartlet really is the total package.

Happy National Rescue Dog Day! 🐾 Share what you love about your rescue dog in the comments!

Today we’re celebrating dogs like Poison Ivy — a 3-month-old Anatolian Shepherd mix who was found roaming the streets of Carlsbad, New Mexico before making her way into rescue.

Now? She’s safe, playful, loved, and looking for a forever home.
That’s the beautiful thing about rescue. It changes everything for a dog.

Rescuing means one less dog facing neglect, uncertainty, or life on the streets. One less dog sitting in an overcrowded shelter. One more dog who makes it off a euthanasia list. And one more open space for the next animal who desperately needs help.

Poison Ivy is sweet, social, goofy, and full of puppy joy. She loves other dogs, loves to play, and is the kind of pup who keeps life fun and chaotic in the best way.

She’s adoptable and will be at our adoption event this Saturday, 5/23, from 10am-2pm at the Littleton PetSmart!

We are gearing up for an exciting weekend with not one, but two adoption events! 💥

Friday 5/22, find us from 4-6pm at Molly's Spirits in Lakeside with Tito's Handmade Vodka! This will be a small event with around 5 dogs, so check in first if you are coming to meet someone specific.

Saturday 5/23, we'll be at our usual spot at the Littleton PetSmart from 10am-2pm with dozens of amazing dogs and a few cute kitties. 🐱 If you plan to come, please fill out an adoption application in advance!

Skye is looking for a fresh start. 🤍

This sweet 5-month-old Lab/Rottweiler mix was recently returned to our rescue through absolutely no fault of her own, and we’d really love to see her land somewhere permanent this time.

Skye is the kind of puppy who wants to be involved in everything you’re doing. She’s incredibly affectionate, deeply loyal, and happiest curled up next to her people after a little playtime. She loves other dogs, enjoys tug-of-war and carrying sticks around the yard, and has the cutest little prancing walk.

She’s also a very smart girl — already knows “sit,” is doing wonderfully with potty training, uses the doggy door independently, and sleeps quietly through the night in her kennel. She’s lived successfully with both dogs and cats and does especially well with canine companionship.

Skye does have some separation anxiety and forms strong attachments to her people, so she’d thrive in a home where someone is around more often, another playful dog is present, or where she has regular social interaction and routine.
She’s still just a baby, and despite being let down already, she’s remained loving, trusting, and full of joy.
