🦃🍁 Thanksgiving Safety Alert for Pup Parents! 🍁🦃
Before we dig into all the deliciousness of tomorrow, here’s a gentle reminder: the days right after Thanksgiving are some of the busiest days of the year for veterinarians — mostly due to dogs developing pancreatitis or getting into unsafe holiday foods. 💔🐶

To keep your pups safe and healthy, here’s what NOT to feed your dog this Thanksgiving:

🚫 Turkey Skin & Fatty Meat
Heavy, greasy foods can trigger pancreatitis — extremely painful and potentially life-threatening.

🚫 Bones (Cooked Turkey Bones)
They splinter easily and can cause choking or internal injuries.

🚫 Stuffing & Casseroles
Often contain onions, garlic, butter, and spices that are toxic or too rich for pups.

🚫 Mashed Potatoes Loaded With Butter, Cream, or Garlic
Plain potatoes are okay — but holiday potatoes usually aren’t.

🚫 Grapes, Raisins, Cranberry Mixes with Raisins
Even tiny amounts can cause kidney failure.

🚫 Chocolate Desserts & Anything Sweetened With Xylitol
Both are extremely dangerous and can be fatal.

🚫 Yeast Dough
Raw dough can expand in your dog’s stomach and cause serious complications.

If you want your pup to join the feast, stick to safe treats like plain turkey meat (no skin or seasoning), green beans, carrots, or pumpkin purée. (No seasonings)🥕🦃🎃
