With the extreme temperatures we’ve experienced over the past week, it’s important to remember that our dogs feel the heat even more than we do. Whether you’re heading out for a walk or just spending time in the yard, a few extra precautions can make all the difference.

💧 Always keep fresh, cool water available.

🌳 Stick to shaded areas and avoid the hottest part of the day.

🐾 Test the pavement with the back of your hand—if it’s too hot for you, it’s too hot for your pup’s paws.

❄️ Watch for signs of overheating like excessive panting, drooling, lethargy, or difficulty walking.
