Happy trails to our ram Fronkie! Off to new pastures and ladies. I'll never forget that you gave us many solid ewe lambs thru the last 3 years and fathered my perfect lambing season! So happy to know those great genes will be passed onto another flock!.*El de France x Dorset *

🔥🥵🧯🌶️ Today I FINALLY got to all the habaneros we have been keeping alive ! I candied, I pickled, I made a hot sauce. I choked myself ( and the terriers) out! Now the plan is to cut them back and try our luck at overwintering...

One last harvest to finish up the weekend. We had 8 lick tubs of sweet potatoes 🍠 this summer that yielded about 75 # . Now they need to cure for about 3 weeks before we use them...

What's Happening on the Ranch...
It wasn't the day I expected but it couldn't have turned out better if I planned it myself! Gaga Sleepover with my 2 favorite girls, got Mona to school fashionably late, Halloween decorations out by lunch with Marley (who's on vacation) , had to get a sub last minute because Blazer has terrible timing, ( but Marley (( The young Dr Pol)) was so excited to see babies being born that she was shaking AND Mona got to see # 2 's unceremonious entry into the world), watched a stunning sunset, AND fed the kids supper after 8 pm AGAIN!!! 😁

What's Happening on the Ranch...
How can I even begin to leave a proper tribute to the girl that gave me 110% of her love and devotion for over 15 years? You were with me through thousands of chore times and baby checks- you would have torn the down if left you inside- no matter the weather. You faithfully waited, looking and listening for me to come through Bluegrass and get home from work every day. When Ray left early every morning,you moved from your cozy bed to park yourself in front of the bedroom door, making sure I was protected. You trained the next generation of house dogs , like the good Nana you were. You were the last of the girls childhood dogs. I can't imagine farming without you. I know you would have continued on forever if we both had our way. You have earned your rest , Beloved Babby. Well done , my good and faithful friend. ❤️
