Unlocking Human Potential in Partnership with Horses. Our Connected Leadership Series™ and Personal and Professional Development programs take an innovative and unique approach to expanding and refining our interpersonal and communication skills. This approach challenges participants to engage in the non-linear, non-verbal communication realms to strengthen the connection between the three learnin

g centers: head, heart and body. Participants work through a series of facilitated exercises with horses as their guides. Our Connected Leadership Workshop Series™ creates an environment where participants develop the ability to build trust-based relationships, strengthen authentic communication and create collaborative team environments through facilitated interactions with horses. In our Personal Development programs we embark on a journey in partnership with horses, to reclaim and access the parts of ourselves that know how to:

Become fully embodied and gain access to the wisdom that is available through non-linear states of consciousness. Live and create from authenticity and congruence. Align vision with passion and purpose, creating a life in alignment with the souls longing. Develop the ability and skills to develop authentic community. The Importance of Equine Guides:

Horses reflect back to us the alignment or misalignment between what we are saying and what we are actually doing. Horses innately listen and act with their whole body in response to what is happening in the present moment, not what may have happened earlier or what might happen in the future. Through these exercises, participants develop ability to:
-Engage individuals and teams towards common goals and interests
-Build and maintain relationships founded on trust
-Change behavioral patterns and have more emotional agility
-Recognize and practice effective leadership styles that create sustainable, meaningful change
-Clarify intent and move from communicating to connecting

We lost this big guy today. He was an amazing teacher and taught me so much about acceptance and trust. Horses are so incredible fragile. Run free with the great herd Nokota.

We get asked this question a lot, and while we don't do "therapy" specifically (we do experiential learning), we give our horses a choice as to their participation. Sometime a few of them are "in", sometimes all of them are "in" and sometimes they say, "not today". And what I have found is that, "not today" often means, "until they are more present with us". All of this involves deep listening and actually knowing how horses communicate. Not knowing the latter is when things can go horribly wrong for horse and human.

While a growing body of scientific literature points to the value and efficacy of equine assisted therapy, fewer investigations have examined the equine side of the equation.

Most of our horses tolerate grooming - they don't love it. What they do love is to be curried with one of our really flexible curry combs.... but grooming... not so much....

Researchers recently reported that more horses avoid being groomed than show signs of liking it. Here are tips to help your horse enjoy his grooming experience.

We've actually been teaching this for quite some time. As we have seen before, science sometimes takes a bit to catch up.

And now scientists know how it works.

We are heartbroken today. Pepsi crossed over the rainbow bridge yesterday morning. While he was not "technically" one of our retirees, he was the soft landing for Montana when we lost Billy. They were inseparable - literally. They had the run of the place and were never more than a few feet apart. They would bicker like two old friends who had been together for years. Montana's passing was hard on Pepsi and although he seemed to come to term's with it, we could tell that the loss impacted him. He joined Montana and Billy yesterday. You will be missed Pepsi - run free.
