We pulled a Kurt Morgan on this one and waited to introduce him to the public for quite a while!
“DL 15” was the leadoff at Invasion in ‘24 consigned by Doughty & Grove. We purchased 50% interest in him that day and brought him home. From that point, he had a rough life out at isolation and we struggled to get him healthy. We sent him back to Brandon and after a good long while he informed us he was back on track and his pigs are incredible!
Visually DL 15 looks just like his dad, from his stout noggin to his burly tail. He is moderate framed and the kind that’ll bring you big time bone, hair, and sheer power in one generation. He’s an ideal choice to bring to those taller, prettier sows that need bulk and power, and Brandon says his pigs have been their most popular this year.
Doughty & Grove has experienced a lot of success over the last several years and much of that can be attributed to DL 15’s mom and grandma. His dam is their very best female and grand dam Never Before sow was their original cornerstone female.
Semen will be $300/dose in season and all boars are currently $200/dose offseason price.
