Hey Magnolia & Seattle neighbors!

We rolled through the neighborhood for the festivities over the weekend with our tiny pink Can Doo trucks, handing out free doggie-bag rolls, bubbles, and stickers. The highlight? Meeting Jo—102 years young! 🎉 She’s pictured here between:

🧭 Fun Fact Friday: Your Dog Might Be Using an Internal Compass

Here’s something wild to kick off the weekend:
Dogs tend to align their bodies along a north-south axis when they p**p. No joke.

A research team tracked over 70 dogs across thousands of potty breaks and discovered this quirky pattern- but only when the Earth’s magnetic field is stable.

On days when the field is unsettled (which happens more often than you’d think), dogs seem to lose their directional preference.

It’s a fascinating glimpse into how closely animals are tuned to natural forces we humans rarely notice.
So next time you’re in the yard, take a peek. Your pup might just be pointing due north without even knowing it.

Quick heads up, Seattle + Mercer Island folks:
Westbound I-90 will be fully closed Friday night (May 16) from Island Crest Way to Rainier Ave S for tunnel maintenance.

Closure starts at 8:30 p.m. — all lanes and ramps closed by 10 p.m. and reopening by 6 a.m. Saturday.

If you’re crossing the lake that night, plan to use SR 520 instead!
