Today is World Rabies Day- it’s important to keep your furry friends from dealing with preventable conditions, and keeping their vaccinations up to date is a top priority in making sure they stay healthy.

The concern for rabies is six times higher in cat bites than dog bites. Make sure that even indoor cats are vaccinated, as bats can get in, and cats can get out.

Generally, puppies and kittens should receive their first vaccine at 12-16 weeks/3-4 months of age, a booster shot the following year, and then recurring vaccinations every 1-3 years after that, per your veterinarian’s instruction.
