This is a fantastic first step, even though I’d like the language to be more concise in some areas! The field of dog professionals must be regulated nationwide. Dog trainers should be certified and undergo continued education to stay up to date in animal science. Why does the law state the most common sense rules that water must be provided and enclosures must allow space to prevent dogs from hitting their head? Because so many facilities lack basic care and skills. Contact me for a checklist before trusting anybody with the care of your baby. 🐾💕
A bill placing numerous new overreaching requirements on all dog trainers in California is scheduled for a committee hearing on April 19.
