🍂 Autumn is here, and mushrooms are popping up everywhere! 🍄 While some may look harmless, many wild mushrooms can be toxic — and even deadly — to dogs if ingested. Curious pups may nibble on them during walks or playtime, which makes awareness essential this season.

Save this post for reference and share it with fellow dog lovers to help keep all pups safe this fall! 🌳🐾

Signs of mushroom poisoning to watch for:

Vomiting
Diarrhea
Drooling or excessive salivation
Weakness or collapse
Abdominal pain
Seizures or tremors

If your dog shows any of these symptoms — or you suspect they’ve eaten a mushroom — contact your veterinarian immediately. Some mushrooms can cause severe liver, kidney, or neurological damage.

Tips to keep your pup safe this season:

Remove any mushrooms you spot in your yard.
Keep your dog on a lead in wooded or grassy areas.
Teach your pup a strong “leave it” command to prevent accidental snacking.
Share this info to raise awareness — it could save a life!

Hot Weather Pet Safety: 5 Must-Know Tips

No Parked Cars — Ever
Even with windows cracked, a car can become deadly in minutes.

Avoid Midday Walks
Walk early or late. Hot pavement can burn paws — test with your hand!

Hydration is Everything
Keep fresh, cool water available at all times. Bring water on walks too.

Keep Them Cool Indoors
Use fans, cooling mats, or frozen water bottles wrapped in towels.

Know Heatstroke Signs

Marching in the parade with your furry sidekick? 🐕 We’ve got you covered! Look for us halfway through the parade route, where our team will be on hand to guide marchers and their pets to our booth.

Here’s what you can expect at the Pet Pit Stop:
