This is the Canine Castle at Precious Companions in Enumclaw by Nolte State Park.

A new luxury dog house made for boarding most breeds. It has 2 indoor areas for their comfort with 5 total windows for sunlight and viewing outside. It is completely insulated and heated. The Castle is enclosed in a 35'x70' area. The play yard is surrounded wirh a 6' tall chain linked locked fence. Plenty of room for your furbaby to get in a few days of exercise.

I have been breeding dogs for 25 years, I’ve open the boarding facility as well that’s the direction I want to move in. However I have some stories from placing these little bundles of love I would like to share. It’s kind of a long read. I do not currently have any Puppies available.

Here is the memory

I answered the phone to a woman speaking in a strong Spanish accent. She wanted to come look at a male puppy. A few days later, a small brown-eyed woman came into my office. She explained that she had purchased a puppy five years previously. She had bought the puppy for her son when he was 10 (he was now 15) and having a hard time because she had gotten remarried and had two new babies. She told me how her boy and the dog were best friends. She started tearing up as she shared that a few months ago, her son was walking down the road with his best friend on a leash. A car veered off the road, hitting and killing the boy's companion. She was crying as she shared the story. She was so thankful that her boy's life was spared, but now his heart was broken. He refused to get a new puppy.

I told her I had the perfect puppy for her. I brought in a tiny tri-color male beagle pup. He wouldn’t be ready for his new home for another three weeks. She placed a deposit for him and went on her way.

Three weeks later, the whole family arrived. Everyone got out of the car except for a very stubborn looking teenage boy. They had a bit of an argument in Spanish and finally he stepped out of the car, arms crossed, looking very disgruntled. The two little ones, looking to be about five and seven, were excited and giggling and laughing. They crawled up on the couch with anticipation of the puppies. The sullen teenage boy stood in the corner. I handed the puppy to the very excited little ones.

The mother and I were going over paperwork and instructions when the puppy lifted its little head back and begin to cry. It wailed and cried and the little kids were trying to comfort it without success. The mother and I were trying to speak over the puppy when the teenage boy stepped towards to the couch. “Give him to me,” the teenager said in a gruff vouce.

Instantly the puppy stopped crying. The teenager held him close to his face. The little puppy started licking his face as if to say “There you are." Without looking at us, the boy turned and with a cracking voice said, "I’m going outside."

As soon as the door closed, the mom and I exchanged smiles. We finished our business. I walked them out to the car where the teenager was sitting, holding his little puppy. As the mom went to get into the car, she lifted her head and mouthed, "Thank you."
