IMPORTANT NOTICE: DOGS IS NO LONGER INVOLVED WITH GRANDVIEW PARK
The city of SeaTac feels that Curts new trail from the upper park to the lower field by the shed is unsafe and they will be taking it out. PLEASE NOTE: DOGS had no say in this decision, which brings me to the main point of this post...
We have recently been informed by the city of SeaTac that they will be taking over the management of Grandview effective immediately. This includes all aspects of the park including all maintenence, projects, and funding.
This nullifies the need for DOGS and therefore DOGS has been be dissolved.
We have been assured that Grandview will remain an off leash dog park and that the city will perform regular maintenance to ensure a clean, safe, and secure park.
If you have automatic donations set up to DOGS, please be sure to cancel them.
If you have any questions or concerns, please contact:
SeaTac Parks Director Mary Tuttle: [email protected]
and
SeaTac City council: [email protected]
Additionally, there will be a SeaTac parks meeting on May 8th www.seatacwa.gov/Home/Components/Calendar/Event/13252/369
and a City Council meeting on May 13. www.seatacwa.gov/Home/Components/Calendar/Event/13175/471
These meetings are not specific to Grandview and we do not know what will be discussed.
We want to thank each and every one of you for your support over the last 20 plus years. You have helped make Grandview a very special place. A special shout out to Curt for all of the amazing work he has done for the park.
