Another one of our sweet puppies is heading home with their future new best friends! 🐶🤎

There’s something so special about seeing a puppy join a family with children. Growing up with a dog can be a wonderful way for kids to learn small, age-appropriate responsibilities like helping with feeding, brushing, training, and playtime—all while building a lifelong bond filled with love and companionship. 🥰

For those wondering how our pups do with other animals, here’s a perfect example of how well they can adapt. 🐶🐱🤎

Although we don’t have cats of our own to regularly socialize and desensitize our puppies with, introducing them to cats at a young age in a safe, positive, and supervised environment can help them learn how to comfortably coexist.

Teaching our puppies to trust us through every new experience is so important. 🐾🤍 They’re learning that while we may introduce them to unfamiliar things, we’ll always be there to guide them and keep them safe.

Our puppies were already comfortable with baths, but here I’m introducing them to a shower head—a completely different sound, sensation, and movement than what they’re accustomed to. 🚿

We encourage curiosity and confidence while also teaching them to look to their handler for guidance. New experiences don’t have to be scary when they’re introduced with patience, reassurance, and positive reinforcement

Socialization doesn’t stop after puppyhood! 🐾🤎

While it’s incredibly important to socialize our puppies, our adult pups benefit from continued exposure too. Something as simple as taking a different walking route can introduce them to new sights, sounds, smells, people, and objects.

These new experiences help our dogs build confidence, practice staying calm in unfamiliar situations, and become more comfortable with the world around them. Socialization and desensitization are lifelong process.

And the goodbye doesn’t have to be forever! 🥰 If you’re local and ever need someone to watch your pup for a weekend or while you’re away on a trip, we’d be more than happy to have them stay with us. We love the idea of our puppies getting to come back, spend time with us, and bond with their parents and half-siblings. 🐶💕 Once part of our puppy family, always part of our puppy family. 🏡🐾

Starting good habits early 🐶🤍 We gently get our puppies used to hands being around their food while they eat, helping them learn that human interaction around mealtime is safe and positive.
