Lots 8 & 16:

Relentless x (Bankroll x Tammy)

Here are a pair of flushmate heifers that came out of the pasture a little green. Since being weaned, they have started to belly down and are changing as much as any of them. Our Bankroll x Tammy donor typically stamps her calves with an elegant front end as you can see in the pictures. Continue to pour the feed and work the hair and we see a lot of potential in these two!

Change is Coming x Profit x Hara's Princess 12D

The second purebred simmental we have in the sale this year. This heifer has power in the blood. Her maternal granddam was the $60,000 sale topping heifer for Schaeffer/Tice in 2016, was the calf champion in Louisville in 2016, and was the champion percentage simmental at Keystone in 2017. Her dam won her class at the Iowa Beef Expo and has gone on to be one of our top cows. Keep this one in mind if you're looking for a nice show heifer that will turn into a great cow.

Payroll x One Eyed Jack

One of only a couple purebred simmental heifers in the offering. She is unique for a purebred heifer, square made, wide hipped, massive b***d and tons of hair. I’m not sure we’ve seen this kind of hair on a purebred heifer without spending time in a cooler.

Lot 1:

Executive Decision x (Casino x Annie Lu 4472)

This one’s mom is our angus donor from Boyert Core. Her flushmate sister was the champion angus and 3rd overall for Rodgers at the Iowa State Fair a few years ago. A maternal sister to lot 1 by 24K sold for $16,000 in 2022 and we think this one is just as good.

We think she looks nice in the picture but she’s even better in person. Don’t hesitate to reach out if you’re looking at cattle this weekend.

Lot 11:

Tecumseh x (Broker x Tammy)

A funny story on this heifer. She was born 13 days after the embryo due date without trouble so we assumed she was out of the herd bull. She continued to impress us all summer and it was a constant debate as to whether she was an embryo calf or not. We sent the DNA in and misinterpreted the results thinking she was out of our herd bull. We went through picture day thinking so and it wasn’t until yesterday that we thought, she is too darn good to be out of our herd bull. We contacted the simmental association and it turns out she IS an embryo calf!

This one wouldn’t be lot 11 if we knew her genetics from the start. Do not miss her on the sale or in person!
