Yorktown Stables, spanning over 100 acres, is located in the heart of historic Yorktown with easy access from I-64. We are the only stable in Hampton Roads that offers Saddleseat lessons, Vaulting lessons and Guided Trail Rides. Our guided trail rides are offered year round and cover both open and wooded land along the Poquoson River. Whether you are experiencing riding for the first time, returning to the saddle after time away or have decided to improve existing skills, we hope to share with you the joy and sense of accomplishment that working with horses can bring. Need something different? Customized plans by private treaty gladly arranged. Looking for a horse? Yorktown Stables is continuously working and training horses for trail, show and pleasure. We are very picky when matching horses and riders; after all, we want it to work. We will be happy to discuss any prospects with your trainer to see if your choice is something your trainer recommends would work for your riding level, or help you along the way. Yorktown Stables is home for the American Quarter Horses (AQHA) and American Paint Horses (APHA). Day four of camp was a hit! The kids worked hard on trotting independently and even learned how to set up their own courses. We wrapped it all up with a refreshing pond ride (ponies included!) and some double trouble fun on the Belgian! 🐴☀️

Day 3 of camp was a blast! ☀️🐴
Our campers are becoming little equestrians—riding more independently and even starting to trot with the help of our amazing camp helpers! 🐎👏 To beat the heat, we rode the horses through the pond and learned how to give them a proper bath. So much learning and laughter all around! 💦🧽

Day two of camp was a blast—even with a little rain! 🌧️☀️
We snuck in some ride time, tackled a ba****ck obstacle course, and then had an absolute blast painting the horses. 🎨🐴 Rain or shine, these campers always bring the fun! 💪✨

The last two days of camp were a blast! ☀️ From splashing around in the water to caring for our amazing horses, every moment was full of fun and learning. And to top it all off—everyone crushed it at today’s show! 🐴💪 We’re so proud of all our campers and can’t wait for the next round of camp adventures! 🐎🎉

Summer Camp Days 2 & 3: The heat was on, but so was the fun!🔥 We tackled exciting obstacle courses and got creative with painting horses, all while splashing around in water games. Huge thanks to Victoria and the bit clinic for keeping us cool and energized during these hot days! ☀️💪

🌞 **First Day Recap: Yorktown Stables Summer Camp Session I!** 🐴

What an incredible start to our summer camp at Yorktown Stables! Despite the sweltering heat, the energy and enthusiasm from everyone was contagious. We kicked off the day with early morning rides, where campers bonded with their ponies.

After our rides, we all pitched in to give the ponies some much-needed baths. It was a fun and refreshing way to cool down, and the ponies loved every second of it! 💦

Staying hydrated was key, and we made sure to drink plenty of water throughout the day. It was heartwarming to see everyone supporting each other, sharing tips on how to stay cool, and cheering each other on during activities.

Here’s to an amazing summer ahead filled unforgettable memories at Yorktown Stables! 🌟 Can’t wait for tomorrow!
