Harvested on the legendary Powderhorn Wildlife Management Area, this Sambar represents one of the rarest free-ranging exotic deer hunts Texas has to offer.

Native to Southeast Asia and among the largest deer species in Asia, weighing up to 1,200 pounds and standing up to 5 feet tall at the shoulder. Sambar are notoriously elusive, heavy-bodied, and built for thick coastal cover.

A true Texas rarity—preserved to be remembered.
