Grooming at Grayhawk is looking for a dedicated and passionate Pet Groomer to join our team.
The ideal candidate will be professional, friendly, and be a motivated pet groomer with previous grooming experience in grooming various breeds of dogs and other pets. This role requires not only grooming skills but also the ability to provide excellent customer service and ensure the well-being of the animals in our care.
Job description
We are seeking a skilled Dog Groomer to join our Grooming at Grayhawk team! The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with dogs, provide top-notch grooming services, and excellent customer service. We are a small family business, 100% locally owned and operated.
Compensation: We offer 50% Commission + 100% tips.

Dog Groomer Requirements:
• Experience with all breeds.
• Dog Bathing experience, as no bather is provided currently.
• Willing to groom several dogs a day, targeting at least 8-12+ dogs per day.
• Groom animals while utilizing techniques which vary depending on type of hair, coat, breed, and owner instructions, bathe and dry animals, perform a**l glands, nail trims, clean ears and brush teeth.
• Groomers will check in and talk to all pet parents at drop-off.
• Groomers are responsible for their tools & tools maintenance as well as keeping their work area clean and organized.
• Pet Stylist/Pet Grooming experience.
• Ability to lift heavy pets when necessary.
• Strong customer service skills to interact effectively with pet owners.
• Must maintain a clean and healthy environment for clients.
• Great work ethic, organized, punctual and reliable.
Essential Duties:
• Manages own grooming workload and schedule to ensure departure times are met and Pet Parents are notified in advance of unavoidable delays.
• Always follow safety procedures for pets and staff.
• Asks for assistance when a pet is stressed, very difficult to manage, or showing any signs of injury prior to or during the service being rendered.
• Cleans grooming areas at the end of day and performs additional maintenance throughout the day as needed.
• Performs related duties as assigned or as the situation dictates.
• Communicates with leadership when any grooming room equipment is damaged and needs to be repaired.
• Must present themselves in a professional manner, including the wearing of company approved attire in good condition, and abide by other desired personal presentation requirements.
• Handle and restrain animals safely during grooming procedures.
• Provide excellent customer service by consulting with pet owners to understand their grooming preferences.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the grooming area.
• Monitor pets for health issues and report any concerns to pet owners.
Cat Groomers, Pet Hair Color Stylists, and any other specialized stylists encouraged to apply.

Schedule:
• M-F (7am – 3 pm)
• No nights.
• 1st Saturday of the month (7am – 12 pm)
