It’s that time of the year again to participate in our Doggie Halloween Costume Contest in Scottsdale! 👻🎃 Make sure you show up and show out! All pets must be enrolled in daycare or boarding to take part in the contest. Three winners will be chosen on November 1st and receive prizes! 🚨 Important announcement about our hours of operation this Friday, September 19th 🚨

At The Barking Dog, your pet’s safety and well-being are always our top priority. 🐾 That’s why this Friday, September 19th, our team will be participating in a special Animal First Aid & CPR Certification Class taught by Dr. Cassidy McCartney, DVM! 💉🐶 ( )

To allow our entire staff to attend this important training:
⏰ We will be closing early at 2:00 PM.
🐕 Daycare dogs must be picked up by 2:00 PM — any pups left after 2 PM will be checked into boarding, and boarding charges will apply.
🏨 All boarding arrivals & departures must also be completed by 2:00 PM.

While our front desk will close, our team will still be on-site caring for all boarding dogs throughout the evening. ❤️

Thank you for supporting us as we continue to grow and make sure we’re ready for anything — because your pets deserve the very best care!

✨ After 12 incredible years, we are saying goodbye (but never really goodbye) to our amazing Head Trainer, Ashlie. Her loyalty, dedication, and love for The Barking Dog, LTD — and our family — have left an unforgettable mark. 💛

Ashlie, thank you for helping shape who we are today. We will miss you dearly, but we are so excited to see all the wonderful things you’ll accomplish in your next adventure. 🐾💫

This Friday will be Ashlie’s last day with us — if you see her, please make sure she feels the love and appreciation she so greatly deserves. 🙏✨
