Meet Ruth! Ruth wants to help share the importance of heartworm testing and heartworm prevention. Ruth was diagnosed with heartworm disease a few weeks ago. She is now going through treatment, but it's a process. She has to come in for multiple injections over the course of the next three months & has strict exercise limitations so as not to tax her heart. Ruth is expected to make a full recovery, but she wants to let you know that heartworm disease is preventable!

Heartworm prevention is available for dogs AND cats (yes, cats get heartworms too)! We offer a variety of options to fit every budget. Here is what's most important to remember:

1. Heartworm disease can be very serious and even fatal if not treated.
2. Heartworm disease makes your pet feel sick, uncomfortable, and sometimes painful.
3. Heartworm prevention is much more affordable than heartworm disease treatment.
4. All dogs and cats can be exposed to heartworms - heartworms are carried by mosquitoes and those pesky buggers are everywhere!
