MISSION: The mission of the U. S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots Program is to collect new, unwrapped toys during October, November and December each year, and distribute those toys as Christmas gifts to less fortunate children in the community in which the campaign is conducted.

GOAL: The primary goal of Toys for Tots is to deliver, through a new toy at Christmas, a message of hope to less fortunate youngsters that will assist them in becoming responsible, productive, patriotic citizens.

OBJECTIVE: The objectives of Toys for Tots are to help less fortunate children throughout the United States experience the joy of Christmas; to play an active role in the development of one of our nation's most valuable resources - our children; to unite all members of local communities in a common cause for three months each year during the annual toy collection and distribution campaign; and to continue to better communities in the future.

Acute pain caused by a surgical procedure or an injury is usually easy to detect, but signs of chronic pain can be harder to pinpoint, and are often chalked up to "old age." To complicate matters, our feline and canine companions can't tell us what's wrong or where it hurts. To raise awareness of the issue, the International Veterinary Academy of Pain Management (IVAPM) declared September as Animal Pain Awareness Month. To emphasize that pain is just as much of a problem for animals as it is for us

IVAPM is committed to education and advocacy regarding pain-management. Toward that end, the global entity is partnering with veterinary organizations to inform the public about animal pain and appropriate veterinary solutions. Even when pet owners realize that their cats or dogs are in distress, they may not know what treatment options are available. We will usually use an individually-tailored approach to help a pet in pain. We provide therapeutic care that may include medication, rehabilitation, and other pain-management modalities.

So here was the video of Gary prior to stem cell for those did not get to see it. He had suffered from a back injury and was not able to walk.

So it has been 30 days since last follow up on Gary at the hospital. He came in today and is still doing great!! So proud of Gary!

check out how quick he gets moving from sitting now too!! So happy to see Gary walking, he was always carried in here in his basket and now he walks in on his own!

Gary is here to for his next stem cell treatment and he has even made more progress since last visit! Check out his latest videos!!

Helping a blind dog see again after Stem Cell Therapy!

This was taken 3 weeks post therapy!!

Remember "Holly" who had stem cell in Oct.? She is still doing great, but as we get ready to do the Stem Cell Seminar at the zoo I found her before and after of her trying to sit this is the before video.

Post Stem Cell Therapy

This was taken yesterady at Holly's follow up exam. She is runng again, bearing more weight and has her speed back again. At exam Holly jumped up on 2 legs and gave a hug to the technician and her owner noted she has never jumped up on anyone before. She is just much more engaged in everday things again.

This was taken the day of "Holly's" Stem cell procedure. Notice she is very reluctant to even walk had to coax her into it, not wanting to bear full weight on right rear, both legs stiff and not moving very quickly. Holly has had 3 knee surgies on the the left and a partial acl tear on the right, radiographs showed osteoarthritis.
