Yesterday, we lost an irreplaceable icon in our sport, Mr. Bob Avila. Not only was Bob an extraordinary talent in the show pen with accomplishments like NRCHA Million Dollar Rider, two-time World's Greatest Horseman® champion, three-time NRCHA Snaffle Bit Futurity® champion, and winning the NRCHA Stallion Stakes champion title a record-setting five times, but he was a true horseman.

His legacy will forever live on through the countless lives he touched and the remarkable impact he made in our industry. Our thoughts are with Dana, BJ, and all of those who knew Bob during this time.

Bob, you will be deeply missed but never forgotten. 💙

Currently leading the Southwest Regional NRCHA Lmt Open Hackamore, winning the 2024 Sun Circuit Lmt Open Hackamore with a score of 74 and Top 10 Jr Open Spec, Reserve Champ. Lmt Open Hackamore 2024 NRCHA Derby, AQHA World Show Qualifier Open Jr Cowhorse levels 2 and 3 and Jr Open Cowhorse and Jackpot Cutting champ at The Ranch Horse Spec…. And that’s just this year, with plenty of time to continue showing in this years derby’s.

This 2019 gelding by Dual Reys Rascal has the confidence and grit of a great cowhorse. With half a year left of derby’s, he has already been started in a bridle and will make for a hard to beat two-rein horse next year.

Would fit either a non pro or open rider, easy to get along and very athletic. Would also do well in VRH and has been roped off of.
