On June 10th, SNJCA has a transport for eight MALE cats and two small FEMALE dogs who weigh less than 15 lbs each. Those numbers/sexes/weights ARE NOT NEGOTIABLE. Please do not apply for this transport for a female cat, a male dog or a large dog. SERIOUSLY.....

New Drop OFF Time: 6:30 am
Pick Up Time at Stevenson TS: Between 4:45 and 5:15 pm
Male Cat Price: $60 includes rabies
Small Female Dog Price: $102 includes rabies
Clinic: Sequatchie Valley Low Cost Spay and Neuter Clinic located in Dunlap, TN

You MUST submit an application requesting June 10th. We require prepayment and recommend using our online accounts: PayPal, Venmo and CashApp.

Please say hi to Dreamsicle, Luna, Boobie, Kitty, Taquisha, Annie, Asa, Quil, and Deliah. These lovely animals registered for the SNJCA Transport to the North Alabama Spay Neuter Clinic in Huntsville. Although they may appear apprehensive at present, they will ultimately benefit from the procedure, which eliminates the risk of heat cycles and pregnancy complications, as well as the responsibilities and risks associated with raising litters of 4-8 kittens.

SNJCA is at the Catfish Festival at the Jackson County Park in Scottsboro from 10-2 today. We have face painting and are selling hotdogs, chips, drinks and boiled peanuts. Come see us.

Spay Neuter Jackson County Alabama will be at the Scottsboro Catfish Festival this Saturday, May 16th from 8 am to 2 pm. SNJCA is selling hotdogs, chips, boiled peanuts and drinks to raise money to help spay and neuter more dogs and cats in Scottsboro and Jackson County. We will also have a face painter from 10-2. Thank you for supporting SNJCA and the other vendors at the Catfish Festival. Good news: The weather forecast is for hot, dry and sunny! 😎

SNJCA had 3 of the quietest, best behaved passengers today on transport to Huntsville North Alabama Spay Neuter Clinic. Miss Tank, Gabby and Barkley didn’t have a single complaint about Nancy’s driving. 🙄 Thanks to their responsible owners, they will be healthier and will not contribute to the “over pet population”. Thank you from animal lovers everywhere!

Spay Neuter Jackson County Alabama (SNJCA) will be at the Catfish Festival on Saturday, May 16th, from 8:00 am to 2:00 pm. The organization will offer hotdogs, chips, boiled peanuts, soda, and water for sale as part of its fundraising efforts to spay and neuter dogs and cats in Scottsboro and Jackson County. Face-painting services will also be available from 10 am to 2 pm for a donation. Your support is kindly requested to help SNJCA achieve its mission of reducing the unwanted animal populations.

Cat Transports on 5/7 & 5/19 are FULL. Taking applications for June 4th and June 18th.

Dog Transports on 5/12 & 6/9 are FULL. Many of you applied for 5/12 and I’ll have to push out to June. I will try to add another dog transport in late May but it’s not easy - clinics are booked!

Riddle of the Day: What do Spay Neuter Jackson County (SNJCA) and catfish have in common?

The Answer: Spay Neuter Jackson County will be at the Scottsboro Catfish Festival May 16, 2026!

We are selling boiled peanuts, hotdogs, chips, sodas and water to raise funds to help the good folks of Scottsboro and Jackson County fix their pets for a reasonable price.

We will also have a face-painting station. Get your face painted for a donation to SNJCA!

Please come out and support all the local vendors especially the nonprofits like us who are giving back to the community! 🥰

Another beautiful day in the neighborhood - at least for 12 cats from Scottsboro/Jackson County! Socks, Scruffy, Morticia, Luna, Daisy, Hermione, Shadow, Tulip, Black One, Black Two (no photo cuz she was spicey) are relaxing (sorta) in the cat room pre-surgery. Tiger and Oreo - the only boys - are being quite vocal about their displeasure being in a cage. They much prefer us to hold and pet them, but then how can we get any work done? 😲. Thanks to their human who are HEROS to us for fixing their pets and the strays! 🥰
