BABIES 😍♥️🥰 I had an experimental litter of Rex rabbits that carry the Harlequin gene. Mom was a solid chocolate and dad was a solid tri-color (aka Harle) The harlequin gene (ej) can produce a striped or brindled pattern in their coats. With the colors in this litter (Castor, Black Otter & 3 Ambers), it makes them unshowable. But boy are they cute! The Castor one looks like a little squirrel 🐿️ baby. The other two litters are Holland Lop rabbits.
I bred a Black tort to a Black tort and produced 4 Black torts and 1 (I’m guessing) Smoke Pearl. The other little was a Black otter & Black tort pairing which produced 2 Blues & 2 Black otters. I love rabbit genetics!

Update: They have found new homes!

I have a couple very sweet, proven, brood Silver Fox does looking to hop! We are downsizing our Silver Fox herd, otherwise they would stay. They really are the sweetest mommas. Would be a wonderful addition to any rabbitry/homestead.

Borrowed this from an account I follow, but it rings true 😂 Currently at 38, including kits. That’s not even my biggest count. And yet it’s not as high as others!

In the past week we’ve had 25 new Silver Fox kits born! Black, blue (dilute of black) chocolate and lilac (dilute of chocolate).
All 4 colors in one nestbox for our first time mama, Bingo!

One of our does had 3 live rabbits and miscarried 4, potentially 5 others within 10-12 hours later.

Thankful for Thanksgiving babies! Two of our mama rabbits had babies early this morning. Chilli had a small litter of 3 and her daughter Bingo had her first litter with a whopping 10! Pictures will come later 🐰 🦃

Our last breeding attempt of the season was the beginning of May. We weren’t so sure that any of them took. But nearing the end of May, our doe Rita was looking quite large and her belly quite firm. But her due date came and went so I was starting to get concerned. She surprised us by releasing the hostages sometime early this morning! She’s a first time mom to 10 all black kits!!

It’s been a nerve wracking two days. One of our pregnant does, that is on day 28 of her pregnancy, has had some significant bleeding, and a major decrease in appetite and water intake. Thankfully she is still moving and drinking some. Has eaten some cilantro today too! But she’s not acting like her normal self and all I can do is wait and pray for the best. On a positive note, look at these two cute girls from Chilli’s litter. They are currently 6 weeks old.
