NEPA BODYWORKS TURNS 4.

How is that even possible? It feels like just yesterday I was driving home from Virginia with my freshly printed Equissage Equine and Canine Massage certificates in hand.

Today is a reminder of my “why.” The reason I started this business was to advocate for and help heal horses like my Beau. If you’ve ever met him, you know just how special he is to me. I truly believe he was brought into my life for a reason — not only to love me, but to teach me through the good, the bad, and the UGLY.

From rehabilitating Lyme and EPM right after I bought him, to soft tissue injuries, supporting DSLD, learning to give him his head while I closed my eyes on “goat trails” over steep gorges and waterfalls, galloping beaches, and learning to trust my horse… to his most recent lesson — rehabbing a tendon sheath injury that nearly took his life — we’re finally in the clear to enjoy life as a happy pasture puff here on our farm.

My horse would do absolutely anything to keep me safe and happy while teaching me along the way — including fighting for his own life.

So with that… cheers to Beau, cheers to my endlessly supportive clients, and cheers to every animal I’ve had the honor of laying my hands on over the last 4 years.
