Update regarding online prescription requests

At Scotch Plains Animal Hospital, our priority has always been to provide exceptional medical care to your furry companions and a seamless experience for you. To ensure our team can dedicate more time and focus to the patients in our clinic, we are updating our policy regarding third-party online prescription requests.

Effective June 1, 2026, we will no longer digitally review or approve prescription requests sent to us directly from outside online pharmacies. While we understand the convenience of online shopping, managing the high volume of daily digital requests from external pharmacies requires significant administrative time, drawing our staff away from direct patient care.

Moving forward: How to Fill Your Pet’s Prescriptions

To ensure our patients receive their medication without interruption, you have two convenient options:

1. Physical Written Prescriptions
If you choose to use an outside pharmacy, simply contact us directly to request a written prescription. Our team will prepare the physical script, and we will call and/text you as soon as it is ready for pickup. You can then MAIL this physical document directly to the third-party pharmacy of your choice.

2. Utilize our Safe, Trusted Online Pharmacy For a fully digital experience, we encourage you to use our own online pharmacy. Our team can approve these requests quickly without much administrative delays. Medications are shipped directly to your door, and you can rest assured they are sourced safely, directly from the manufacturers, and backed by full veterinary guarantees. Dear Valued Clients,

In light of the forecasted blizzard and the statewide state of emergency, our office will remain closed on Monday, February 23, to protect the well-being of our clients, patients, and staff.

We plan to reopen on Tuesday February 24 at 9:00AM, weather and road conditions permitting.
