We can learn valuable lessons from dogs, such as friendship and sharing.

Sometimes we just need something cuddly in our days.

Be kind and cozy. Like these two.

This is the first Thanksgiving in 4 years where we have not had at least one dog in our home!
We released our dog, Annie Oakley, into the arms of Jesus one month ago. It has been a bittersweet time with moments of sadness as I look at her crate she has shared with so many other pups.
God planned ahead and made a way for one of my daughter’s to become owner of an incredible husky. I thought we were nuts bringing another dog into our home while operating a small dog boarding business. BUT GOD knew Annie Oakley would be diagnosed with osteosarcoma 2 months later. Then 2 months later she would be involved in an accident. Only God could orchestrate so well to reveal His involvement in the details to bring us comfort in this difficult situation. We miss her, yet again are comforted with knowing and being determined she would live out her best life in the countryside herding vehicles, hunting for gophers, and walking as far as her body would take her. She even had an incredible, relaxed weekend with one of her dog friends not long before she died. (Thank you so much!)
To all of our families that choose to board their dogs with us, thank you. We are OPEN to loving your family member with wild abandon. Knowing you share your dogs with us has helped to make this transition easier for all of us.
πŸ’
Gratefully,
Annie Oakley Dog Boarding
