A year ago we got a litter of adorable, wrinkly puppies. Today we got the best adoption update from one of the families that adopted!

Meeko's mom told us he was the missing piece from their family. They adore him and affectionately call him a moose because of his size. We're so happy to see Meeko enjoying life!

Meet Estella! This shy, but affectionate senior tabby is guessed to be between 11 and 12 years old. She really did not enjoy being in the shelter, but when she moved into a loving foster home, she really came out of her shell. Her foster mom reports she really enjoys being pet, purrs a lot, and runs to greet her when she has been away.

Estella lived with her brother since they were kittens, but we are not sure if she would enjoy another feline companion. She may prefer being an only pet. If you want the company of a nice ol' gal, give Estella a try!

We have six Mastiff/Australian Shepherd puppies looking for homes! These very cute puppies are likely to be large, so please keep that in mind when applying.

Right now they're all things puppy, full of energy, kisses, nibbles, and mischief! Once they get some energy out they're great at snuggling too.

Meet Loki!

Loki is a friendly, social, and energetic dog who loves meeting new people and exploring the world around him. Heā€™s happiest when heā€™s on the go whether thatā€™s walking, hiking, or playing with his favorite toys.

Heā€™s also a strong boy who can be enthusiastic on leash, especially when he sees other dogs. Loki may get a little reactive at first, but once he has the chance to meet calmly, he settles and moves on nicely. With some continued training and structure, heā€™ll only get better and better.

Loki has no signs of resource guarding, accepts handling well, and could likely live with another friendly, confident dog who matches his energy. Heā€™ll thrive in an active home that can give him plenty of exercise, consistency, and love. Once playtime is done, Loki is happy to be snuggled on the couch with his companion.

Meet Mochira!

Mochira is a friendly, affectionate 8-month-old kitten. She loves attention from people, and would likely be OK with other animal companions as well. Plus, she's adorable! She will be a nice addition to any home!

Youā€™re gonna FALL in love with Autumn!

This adult chihuahua lady (6 or 7 year old) is an overall very good girl with many Chihuahua like qualities small dog lovers will adore!

Autumn gets along with other dogs but does find larger dogs a bit scary. She may run zoomies for a few minutes but sheā€™s overall a mellow pup. Autumn likes wasnā€™t walked on a leash much because walks scare her a bit, but sheā€™s learning!

Autumn has earned herself the nick name ā€œNaughty Auttyā€ in her foster home for a few minor issues:
-she chases cats. No cats for her!
-while mostly housebroken (and p*e pad trained) when a routine isnā€™t followed she may have an accident.
-Autumn does not like to share high value treats with other dogs. She has no problem sharing with humans though!
-Naughy Autty barks when her person leaves. She will calm down but isnā€™t a good fit for apartment living.

This petite princess really just wants a lap and a human to love and adore her! Her Chihuahua shake and butt wiggles when sheā€™s happy adds to her overall charm!

Meet Winter Boy!

Winter Boy is an adorable, mixed breed puppy, who has had a rough start in his life. At about 5-months old, Winter Boy is very fearful of new people and situations at first, but has been doing a great job of facing his fears here at the shelter. He will need lots of love and patience, but will make someone a happy little companion once he learns the world is not so scary.

He would likely be Ok with a canine companion or a confident cat. Small children might be too much for him. Overall, he is a sweet young guy that just needs to build some confidence. He has exhibited some barking here at SAS, but that may settle once he is used to his surroundings.
