Exciting opportunities are coming to Scituate Riding School in February! Two of our lovely horses are looking for some extra one on one companionship and will soon be available for half lease. Blingh and Makenna are both wonderfully talented dressage horses looking to find partners who want to learn the ropes and spend time building a relationship with an equine partner. Half leasing includes 3 weekly semi-private lessons and one weekly free ride for $1350. This experience is best suited for riders with experience looking to get their foot in the door of ownership. What a white out weekend it was!

Show day at Briggs was a huge success! So proud of all the success! Chloe Costello and Maggie Karlburg cleaned up their leadline classes with scores up to 82% on John Henry! Each getting a first and second placing and great feedback to work with over the winter.🎉Jasna Pittman was incredible at her first dressage show ever with Makenna Kai. This show was monumental for their growth as a pair and I am so excited to see them continue to figure it all out!!

Proud is an understatement!! These four ladies handled the pressure of horse showing so incredibly well. We love our arena time at SRS so dipping our toes into riding in a field was a huge jump but every one of these girls looked as if they had been out there many times before even though none of them have ridden off property before let alone participate in a horse show.

Great scores all around! Brooke Costello receiving a 60% on the beautiful Makenna Kai in Intro C on this mares first time at a show in many years! Morgan Shay did excellent job working with a tricky pony receiving a 60% even with an error on John Henry! Chloe Costello and Maggie Karlburg had an incredible showing in lead line with JH I’m super proud of these hard workers. They both handled field riding like pros and did excellent work in the ring with scores up to 76%

Thank you to Heritage Dressage Association for putting on a wonderfully run and educational show. Of course we couldn’t do any of this here at SRS without the help of Rita Brown and Mary Costello as well as without our great hard working horses and our home barn family. Thank you to everyone that came out to support!!

A slightly late congragulations to these hard working lady’s on leveling up last weekend! We only started working with our learning levels materials 3 months ago and these ladies have already breezed through rainbow level! We at SRS are very proud of this group and excited to see what they accomplish now that they’re in red level!

Are you looking for an exciting, educational, and confidence building activity for your child? Look no further! Our program is designed to ignite your child's love for horses and create lifelong memories. (We also have opportunities for adult riders pm for details!)

By joining our riding school (we only have a few spaces open), your child will become part of a supportive and vibrant community of parents and kids. We organize fun events, competitions, and special outings which help create strong friendships and unforgettable memories.

Getting involved with horses can boost self confidence and self- esteem as children conquer challenges and develop a bond with the horses. They can help teach responsibility and work ethic as children learn to care for horses as well as ride them. Riding horses gets your child out from behind a screen and into the outdoors.

We have programs for kids as young as 5 years old. Our experienced trainers provide top-notch guidance, under a structured curriculum to promote in house achievements through level based learning systems, ensuring your child gains a strong foundation for riding in a safe and supportive environment.
