Schererville Animal Control & Shelter Schererville Animal Control is committed to help pets in need through sheltering, adoption, and education. Our adoption fee is $65 for both cats and dogs.

Donations: https://www.schererville.org/animalcontroldonations This fee includes the following services:
Dog: Rabies, Distemper, Heartworm Test, Spay or Neuter, and a Microchip
Cats: Rabies, Distemper, FELV/FIV Test, Spay or Neuter, and a Microchip

We always except donations and they can be shipped or dropped off at the Schererville Police Department located at 25 E Joliet St

Meet our senior sweethearts, both 13 years young and full of love.

Loki is a handsome Boxer/Pit mix with a gentle soul and loyal heart. He enjoys the simple things in life — comfy beds, tasty treats, and spending time with his people.

Chaos is a German Shorthaired Pointer mix who may be a senior, but still has plenty of personality. He’s sweet, loving, and enjoys attention and companionship.

These dogs deserve a soft place to land and a family to love them through their golden years. Senior dogs have so much love left to give, and Loki and Chaos are no exception.

We recently asked for donations of dog food, and the response from our community has been amazing. The Town of Schererville, St. John’s, and Heart in Motion have all been incredible in helping support our shelter animals.

Thank you to everyone who donated food, supplies, and support. Your kindness helps us continue caring for animals in need, and we truly appreciate this wonderful community coming together for our dogs.
