HM Quarter Horses: your source for Harlan genetics on the northern plains. We raise registered American Quarter Horses on a small ranch at the edge of Badlands National Park just outside of Scenic, South Dakota We are proud of them.

Brood mares are the heart of our program and we strive to keep a small, consistent band. We have looked to the past and sought out mares that carry the lines of the two great mares Dixie Beach and Lady Coolidge. Our original mare band was built on mares from Don Stearns’ breeding program. Today the mare’s predominately carry the blood of Harlan with outcrosses to Roan Wolf, Cee Booger Red and Okla
