Established in 1998, Double Springs Farm is a family owned and operated riding, boarding and training facility. Combining expert instruction and training for hunters and jumpers with opportunities to attend local and rated competitions, we offer something for horses and riders at every stage of their training. With a friendly and welcoming environment and a family atmosphere, Double Springs Farm feels like home for beginners and experts alike.

12 x 12 stalls cleaned 2x per day
Large turnout pastures in groups of 2 or 4. All night in summer. Daytime in winter.
Hay given a minimum of 3 times (typically 4 or 5 times in winter)
Feed twice with provided supplements
Automatic waterers
Climate controlled longe
Individual tack lockers
Large outdoor (approx 150 x 250 feet)
Indoor 80 x 120 ft
Great, experienced, reliable care.
Owner and trainer live on property.
Trails
Individualized lessons to meet your goals.
Regular vet, farrier, chiropractic and massage care available

We are not fancy but we are clean, workman like and great doqn to earth horse people. We are in it for the horses.

Double Springs Farm in Saxonburg Pa has rare 3 open stalls! DSF is a small (17 stall) hunter jumper boarding barn with a friendly kind atmosphere. Just for boarders...no lesson program....this means more, less crowded ring time :) We have been in business for over 25 years and it is extremely rare that we have open stalls.
The horse always comes first! Large pastures (about 25 acres is split into 9 pastures) with small group turnout (1 to 4 typically). Horses go out at night in the summer and daytime in the winter. Excellent care with experienced staff (All have worked here over 6 years!). Large outdoor ring (240'x150') and 80' x 120' indoor. Individual tack lockers, heated wash racks with warm water and climate controlled observation room. Hay 4 to 5 times a day when horses are in. Stall cleaning 2x/day, grain twice with provided supplements. 12x12 stalls etc. We check all the boxes of good care and a great environment where a horse can be a horse. 4 lessons are included in the monthly board. Training rides available.
DSF has consistency in care and training having been is business over 25 years. Trainer/owner Annette Danehy lives on site.
I love working with clients and their horses to help them develop as a team. We do some showing at rated and local h/j Harlensburg shows.

Double Springs Farm in Saxonburg Pa has 2 open stalls! DSF is a small (17 stall) hunter jumper boarding barn with a friendly kind atmosphere. We are interested in adding another boarder that wants to develop their riding and do some shows. We do the local Harlensburg H/J shows and rated shows.

So last week at Brave was fun and finished up grate. Mia, Miles, Carson and Bijoux all went home with Champions. Mia and Sporty earned champion in The Children's pony. It was so fun to watch her learn and deveope and get consistent. Vanessa and Miles are so consistently improving and seems like they have a new personal beat round at each show. Maybug, Carson and Bijoux had big improvements in their confidence and comfort each day. Looking forward to July Brave.

After day 3 of Brave Horse show. What a wonderful group of clients and horses. Developing a connection with a few new to me young horses is just so rewarding and so much fun! And watching the youngsters I have developed confidently show with their amateurs is equally rewarding. I am so lucky to truely love my job. A big thank you to my clients for continuing to believe in my approach and to be patient with the process.
