Puppy Time
The highway in front of our building is quite busy and it is a great training place because it has frequent noises, movement, and visuals.
Putting this girl in sit and just exposing her to the different sounds and movements while remaining calm helps gain confidence while she is still in the puppy phase.
Many people think they have exposed their pups, but a lot of the time they think it's just around new people and new dogs but while that is important... stuff like this is also important while on leash.
If you want help with your puppy with leash manners and proper exposure before they get too reactive, contact us today to set up your evaluation call or text 816-558-1607
Go on a Safari Walk with Your Dog! 🐾🌿
Warmer weather calls for more outside time! Last week, we took some of our pups outside to exercise and get some mental stimulation! They get freedom to use thier nose, exercise, and take in all the smells they can without worrying about going too far or another animal getting in their way. We LOVE allowing our dogs to do this and thankful for the warmer weather🌅🌞
🌿 Why Take Your Dog on a Safari Walk?
✔️ Mental & Physical Stimulation – Your dog will love exploring new scents, sights, and sounds in the wild.
✔️ Bonding Time – Strengthen your connection with your pet as you embark on an exciting journey together.
✔️ Low-Impact Exercise – A gentle yet stimulating walk is great for both dogs and their owners.
✔️ Natural Enrichment – Being in nature helps reduce stress, anxiety, and boredom for dogs and humans alike!

This is why I love using tools like e-collars... with Henry being trained up on basic commands, I am able to let him roam and when I want him to come back he does.
This time, I didn't have to use the e-collar because he listened but if needed I could use it. Done correctly, tools like e-collars can give your dog more freedom and you a communication tool if need
Henry is practing door manners at the front door today. He goes out our back door at lot so making sure he knows the front is the same expectation.
Why do we practice this? It's mostly for two reasons 1) don't rush out the door and hurt themselves or us and 2) keep them from getting hurt and or chasing cars, people, or animals.
We expect this everytime we use the door so that it's something that's instilled in them no matter the door or condition.

When playing hits hard 🤣🤣♥️♥️
Henry is learning place this week but also learning about being calm before eating. These add on commands will be good for him.
He is a very social boy and loves people so teaching place will expand his training when people come over, when he is out of the kennel and not in work mode, and also a calm space as needed.
He loves his food and I like my dogs to wait until I get food down to eat so introducing 'wait, then eat' is giving him patience while I get food down and not to be in a rush to eat.
Shout out to All That Jazz Dog Treats for the training treats which he LOVES ❤️ . If you're looking for training treats or treats in general for your pup, go to her page and check out what she has. I use them daily for sessions with Henry.

POV: the owner decides to stand on the desk like it's normal to have a conversation while he is being a menace 🤣🤣🤣
There is a reason I tag him as "A Walking HR Violation"
"Big milestone for our little hero! At just 4 months old, Henry has officially mastered stairs! 🐾💪 Watching him grow stronger and more confident every day is truly inspiring. Ready for him to do big things for his person 🫶❤️ #ServiceDogInTraining #ProudMoment #GrowingUpFast"
Training Area
We are very excited to start a new way of training and utilize our building more for training sessions. We could really use this set up for training at our place but also with our board and trains that come for training. But we need some help!
Below is a list of items we would love if they could be donated and in decent condition but does not have to be fancy. We plan on using the playroom area to create real in-home situations to better help the owner and the dogs!!!!
What we need:
✅Dining room table: doesn't have to be big or fancy
✅ Living room chair
✅ Side table(s)
✅ Kitchen island: this could be done from a remodel and looking to get rid of nothing fancy or big just to look like counters in a kitchen
✅Scrap wood for stairs
✅ Doorbell
If you or someone you know is getting rid of these items and would like to donate them to us, let us know! We are willing to pick up the items if needed.
We will be working towards this in the coming months and can't wait to see how this helps us help our clients with their dogs!
One of the easiest ways to do some enrichment is just to trow treats everywhere. All That Jazz Dog Treats came in clutch with the boys using their noses today!!
