We put up all of our own horse quality first and second cutting hay!! We always put up extra to sell to our hay buyer. Today one of our hay buyers backed this up to the barn to pick up a load! This load is headed off to Florida!!!

Been awhile since we last posted! Things are always busy at the stable and the farm! This past week, maintenance activities and updates were a little more noticeable! New fencing put up in some paddocks, fill added, and the outdoor ring and hitching post were painted! Always something to do at the farm!

To my horse friends, please check vaccination status and dates! look at the new booster recommendation!

Our Doctors want to encourage anyone with a horse vaccinated previous to April 2024 (over 6 months ago), to receive an Encephalitis West Nile booster asap (EWTWN). Anyone with an OVERDUE horse is recommended to set up an annual visit asap. The American Association of Equine Practitioners recommends considering a booster vaccine for these viruses if in an edemic area. The mosquitos are horrendous right now and may continue to be throughout the next month or two if the weather stays warm (not that we want winter to come too soon though!) Remove standing water sources, use mosquito repellents and keep your horses inside from dusk to dawn when mosquitoes are out if possible. The vaccines are very safe and effective. We want to keep our equine friends healthy.
